From the Great Lakes of North America, to the sun-kissed tropics or the stormy southern oceans, even to icy thrill of the Northwest Passage, Sailing Yacht “Hayat” is ready and waiting to take you on the adventure of a lifetime. Built in Holland and designed by Colin Archer, Hayat is a 44-foot steel cutter sloop with a double-ended stern, capable of handling the most challenging maritime conditions the world can offer. But Hayat’s charms do not stop at her strength. Her centre cockpit leads to generous accommodations that make for a comfortable life aboard, whether for a weekend, a month, or as a permanent home.

The diesel has two large starter batteries separated from the house system. Power to the cabin lights and all instruments is supplied by the house system. The auxiliary engine has a 100-amp alternator that supplies power to the starter batteries as well as the house system. The house system is also supplied by three solar panels, as well as an Ampair 100 wind generator.
Ground Tackle
Hayat is equipped with five anchors, and four anchor lines in addition to the chain. The main anchor is a 75-pound Delta on the bow with 300 feet of chain over a LoFrance Trigress anchor winch (new in 2015).
A 50-pound Danforth is located on the stern and an 80-pound Danforth in the V-berth. The V-berth also stores a 60-pound Fisherman and a Bruce is located in the aft section.
Located over the chart table, the main navigation instrument is a Simrad NSS 7 connected to a Nema 2000 network. The boat is equipped with Acti Sense, enabling a laptop with the latest FUGAWI (or other applicable software) to be wired into the network.
In addition to the NSS 7, a B&G Vulcan 5 is installed in the cockpit with a Garmin GM 10. There is also a Magellan handheld GPS and a Sitex radar (separate from the Nema 2000 network).
A sextant complete with all manuals is located near the chart table.
Monitor self steering vane.

The custom mast is made by Holland Spar in The Netherlands. Folding steps are added all the way to the top for easy access. The genoa is on a roller furling Schaeffer 4100.
Sail Inventory
Hayat’s sail inventory is in good condition, and includes:
• Mainsail
• Genoa
• Yankee
• Storm jib
• Number 2 genoa
• Two spinnakers
The interior is built out of mahogany. Upholstery is blue velvet and in like-new condition. Because steel boats do not require many bulk heads, the interior is open and very spacious.
In addition to the main cabin, there is an aft cabin with double bunk and a separate cabin on port side with two large bunks. Between the aft cabin and the main salon is the head with a shower. Forward is a V-berth with two additional berths. All cabins are heated with radiators through a diesel-fired Webasto central heating system.
The galley offers a gimballed two-burner stove and oven, fueled by two 30-pound propane tanks stored in the aft section. and 110-volt refrigerator. Water capacity is 1,000 liters (264.17 US gallons) in two 500 liter tanks, delivered through a 12-volt pressurized system with manual back-up. Hot water is provided via a 110-volt Force 10 6-gallon tank; when the central heating system is active, it additionally heats the water.
