Extra Features:

Hull #5 is one of the first 2 Beneteau 10R's manufactured in France in 2006 and introduced to North America that year. While the Beneteau First 10R is a relatively small one-design fleet, the competition on Lake Ontario is active.  Imported to Canada in 2014 (duty paid), she has been lightly raced, participating in the odd weekend club regatta as she was primarily used as a day sailor. She is well equipped for cruising as the present owners have equipped her with full shore power, air conditioning and hot water. Her sail inventory includes 2016 North Sails 3DL main and  a145 3DL Genoa, both in very good condition. There are also two spinnakers, one for reaching and another for running, both by Ulman. To round out the inventory an Ulman blade in excellent condition is also included.  An older main and #1 are also part of the inventory and both are still serviceable. While the boat does not come with a furling head sail, a Harken furler is currently installed. There is a Tuff Luff forestay included as well should the new owner wish to swap out the furler system entirely. The present owners also had the larger Farr designed rudder built by Competition Composites installed,  keeping her stable under full sail as pressure builds into the mid-teens. For those nights spent on the hook, or those days racing the LO 300, the two dedicated house batteries will keep your electronics running while the 3rd brand new start battery will ensure that you can start the engine to power you into your slip or to recharge the system and keep you going on extended stays off the dock. Her bottom was completely redone with Interprotect spring of 2017. With a carbon fiber mast that holds a sail area of 574 square feet, it does not take a lot of breeze to keep her sailing.
