The Cabot 36 is an excellent choice for offshore cruising. The moderate cutter rig is all inboard and easy to handle. The relatively heavy displacement makes for plenty of carrying capacity and the moderate draft will be appreciated by anyone heading down the Intra-Coastal Waterway and on to the Bahamas.

She was built by Yachtsmiths International in Dartmouth for the 2005 Halifax Boat Show.

This group had obtained the original Cabot moulds.  They modified her with the sugar scoop stern and bow thruster.

Nobody bought the boat, so she was stored in their shop until I found here in 2010.  I bought the boat and got Yachtsmiths to repaint her and complete her for commissioning.

Yachtsmiths had a mast from and Island Packet which they used for her.  We had E.Y.E Consultants do the rig design and modifications to make her a Cutter.

Yachtsmiths failed so I moved her to Seaglass Industries in Dartmouth to complete the work including the electrical system, refinishing the interior, and sorting out some of the design /construction issues she had.

We completed her in 2012 and commissioned her in the Halifax harbour before sailing her up river to Port Credit.

In Port Credit, I continued to upgrade her systems and rig.
